Educational Bursaries Grant


The Filipino Canadian Association of Kamloops and District is pleased to announce a grant of two educational bursaries of $500 each for members who are currently enrolled  or will enroll in any  discipline at any registered  Canadian colleges or universities. Thank you to our generous donors  for this opportunity to help our kababayans in their education.

If you want to apply, please fill out the attached application form and provide all the information required and submit the following requirements with your signed application form via email at association_filcan@yahoo.com.

*Character reference letter 

*Filcan cultural activity proposal for this year until March of 2022 with the budget of at least $300.00 (format attached)

*Proof of school registration

*Copy of PR card, citizenship or birth certificate 

( Please take note of the following guidelines)

*Must be an active members of Filcan

*Permanent resident, Canadian citizen, naturalized Canadian citizen who lives in Kamloops and District.

*Must be enrolled or will enroll in any registered Canadian educational institution

*The bursary will be paid directly to the educational institution

*The funding must be disbursed within 8 months of award

*Copies of the application form and other documents submitted will not be returned


Applications will be accepted beginning June 18 until July 31, 2021.

We will announce the two successful candidates of the bursaries on August 15,2021.
